Need to stretch a ring without finding permanent bench space for another large piece of equipment?

The Durston Ring Stretcher Mandrels are compact expanding mandrels designed for enlarging and resizing rings at the bench. Simply secure the mandrel in a vise or suitable clamp, slide the ring over the tapered end, and tighten the center bolt with the supplied Allen key. As the mandrel expands, it applies even outward pressure to stretch the ring. Durston also designed the mandrels so they can be used with a lathe or polisher when appropriate. 

At only 92mm (about 3-5/8") long, they're remarkably compact compared with a traditional upright ring stretcher. That makes them particularly useful for smaller benches, occasional resizing work, traveling jewelers, or anyone who would rather keep a ring stretcher in a drawer than bolt one permanently to the bench. 

Three sizes cover ring diameters from 14mm through 24mm, and we offer each size individually as well as the complete set of three.

Each mandrel measures approximately 92mm long. 

FDJ Tip: These are especially handy if you only stretch rings occasionally. A traditional ring stretcher is a wonderful tool, but it also expects you to provide it with its own little piece of bench real estate forever. These can go back in the drawer when the job is finished.
