Sometimes you need a pair of pliers that doesn't just hold on to your work. You need a pair that absolutely refuses to let go.

These Eurotool Flat Nose Parallel Pliers combine serrated steel jaws with a compound-action mechanism to provide a strong, secure grip with less hand fatigue. Unlike conventional pliers, whose jaws close at an angle, parallel pliers keep their gripping surfaces parallel as they close, providing more consistent contact with the material.

One of their most useful applications at the jewelry bench is pulling wire through a drawplate. When you're working with smaller wire, the serrated jaws bite into the tapered end to help prevent slipping, while the compound-action mechanism gives you the gripping strength you need to pull the wire through the next hole.

They're also useful for gripping, holding, and manipulating other materials when smooth-jaw pliers simply can't provide enough traction. The heads and jaws are made from high-grade tool steel for durability and years of bench use.

FDJ Tip: When drawing wire, grip the tapered end rather than the finished portion you intend to use. Serrated jaws are wonderful when you need a little extra bite, but they aren't particularly concerned about leaving tooth marks. That's why we recommend these for pulling wire and smooth-jaw pliers for work where the surface finish matters.
