Copper Casting Grain – 99.9% Pure

Because melting pennies is frowned upon.

Whether you’re casting pure copper, making your own sterling alloy, or just enjoy turning little piles of metal into bigger piles of metal, copper casting grain is one of those shop staples that’s surprisingly handy to keep around.

This is 99.9% pure copper grain, supplied in easy-to-melt shot form. The small grain size melts faster and more evenly than chunks, scraps, or mystery metal from the bottom drawer of your bench. It’s clean, convenient, and easy to weigh for alloying and casting projects.

Why jewelers use it:
* Create your own sterling silver alloys
* Cast pure copper pieces
* Add copper to custom alloy recipes
* Easier to measure and melt than larger stock
* Clean, high-purity material for predictable results

Bench Reality
Copper is the unsung hero of the jewelry world. It’s what gives sterling silver its strength, helps alloys behave properly, and adds that warm reddish color we all know and love. This grain form simply makes the melting part easier.

And unlike that coffee can full of random copper scraps you’ve been saving for fifteen years, you actually know what this is.

A Quick Note
Copper melts at approximately 1950°F (1065°C), so make sure your torch, furnace, or melting setup is up to the task. The grain form melts more quickly than large pieces because of its increased surface area.

Simple. Pure. Predictable.

Because when you’re pouring molten metal, surprises should be kept to a minimum.
