Graphite-Clay Crucibles can withstand the extreme temperatures encountered in melting different materials. It has good thermal conductivity and temperature resistance for melting gold, silver, platinum, copper, and other precious metals and alloys with the high purity graphite crucible. It has good corrosion and impact resistance to ensure the reliability of the product. This is more durable than ordinary material products. The high-temperature resistance allows a longer service life.

Tips:
1) Store in dry place and do not get it wet.
2) After drying the crucible, keep dry and away from water
3) For best use these graphite-clay crucibles should be tempered by heating them slowly to there max temperature (between 1560-2900F depending on quality), held there for a time, then cooled slowly. This process removes moisture and strengthen the crucible.
4) Using borax as a flux is a good idea when using an electric furnace.
5) Use proper tongs when handling the hot crucibles to avoid dropping.
6) Don't "jam" items to tightly into the crucible before melting. The expanding metal can crack the crucible.
7) Avoid melting steel or other ferrous metals.
