Use to prepare your crucible for melting. Line the crucible to protect the metal from any impurities. Heat your crucible to red hot and sprinkle on the borax while turning the crucible to line the crucible.

While melting, you can sprinkle borax on your molten metal to bring any impurities to the surface.
